Bricks Twente is located in Enschede and has been a specialized real estate agent since 2011. We started under the flag of a nationally operating rental agent (franchise) and continued under our own name, Bricks Twente Makelaars, on January 1, 2020.

Rick Nijenhuis

Owner, real estate agent and energy performance advisor

After working as an account manager for 2 large insurers for 12.5 years, I followed my heart in 2011 and decided to enter the beautiful real estate profession. Because there were no (rental) agents in Twente at the time who specialized in Expats, I joined a national rental agent with 20 branches for which I started the Twente office. Since January 2020, I have continued under my own flag as Bricks Twente rental agency. I chose VBO Makelaars as the stand organization.



In addition to rental, we have also been happy to help our customers with the sale of their home or apartment since 2024.


In addition, I passed the Energy Performance Advisor training at the beginning of 2024. This allows me, on behalf of Bricks Twente Makelaars, to issue energy labels for existing homes.


I am married to Olga and have two children (Stan and Milou) and I am a real 'tucker'.


Born and raised in Almelo, then lived in Hengelo for a long time and can be found daily in my office at the Roombeek in Enschede. Outside of work I like to watch my children's sports. I can regularly be found in the gym and once a year 'on the long slopes'.

Buying and rental agent

After completing my secondary Hotel School studies and then the higher Hotel/Event Management training, I started a position in real estate in 2019 after working in this industry for a number of years.


As a rental and rental agent at Bricks Twente, I have already provided many people with a rental home in the Twente area. I am always highly motivated to make the entire rental process pleasant for both the owner and potential tenants. Since 2024, we have also started selling homes at Bricks Twente Makelaars. This makes my position even more versatile.


The contact with our clients and customers and all the activities that arise from this make my job very varied. The short lines of communication, involvement and informal atmosphere within our ''small'' organization makes working very pleasant and makes me enjoy going to work every day.


I live in Losser, together with my husband and 2 daughters (Suus and Meis).

Besides my work, I spend a lot of time with my family and friends, you can regularly see me on the tennis court and I like to go out for dinner.

Hi! My name is Sanne, born and raised in Losser. I live here with my husband and 2 daughters Suus and Meis.
